Windows 7 Media Center & BluRay Rips

  • Subject: Windows 7 Media Center & BluRay Rips

Just finished a rebuild of my HTPC following its untimely death on
Xmas Eve.

Now running Windows 7 and have to say pretty impressed - very smooth
install
and as of last night have got everything up and running.

I dont intend using it for its Media Center facility as i have Popcornhour
C200 for movie playback, but whilst having a play as you do, found that
Media Center indexes and will play BluRay rips (.ts files) with some degree
of success. This is without any specific bluray software installed.

I found a number of .ts the played fine, a few had no sound, and a few
sound
but no picture..

Perhaps this is general knowledge, but it suprised me :)

Dean.
