RE: New Boiler (with automation inclusion)

I am looking at installing a new condensing modulating system boiler when
the kitchen extension is built in Feb and back of garage is converted to a
utility with boiler in there.

I have decided on a Viessmann Vitodens 200 with weather compensation and
also a little UFU.

There is an extension kit for this boiler which allows an external signal
to switch the boiler from setback mode to heating mode.

We have quite unpredictable return home times so I plan to use my
HomeVision or Comfort to call the house and enter the code to switch this
signal. I do this with the existing boiler/programmable thermostat and it
works quite nicely.

Subject: [ukha_d] New Boiler (with automation inclusion)

Looking for ideas on what are options are : we have a 14 year old gas
boiler, pressurised C/H with standard water tank in an upstairs cupboard,
and vented cold water supply in the loft.

My understanding is that a combo for our house is not man enough, so
perhaps some sort of hybrid condensor or a Megaflow. Would be nice to have
full mains pressure water hot and cold throughout the house, and the
potential to boost from renewalable sources later on, and provide heat to
a water UFH (if I ever get round to it). I'll look to integrate this into
Comfort/CBUS (likely) or the Heatmiser (unlikely)

Any tips would be appreciated :-)

tia
