Keith, as Paul said the SBS server should be running DHCP & DNS in an
ideal
world.

However, if you need to add this win7 machine, check that DNS server is
running on the SBS server from administrative tools. If it is, you can
probably add the win7 to the domain by just changing the dns server in the
tcp/ip properties of win7 to the sbs server's ip address in the 'use
following DNS server addresses:' field. This wont involve any changes to
their existing network or router.
