http://www.virtualbox.org/ isn't too
bad on OSX. Not perfect but ok for
free.
I tried both Parallels and VMware fusion. For my needs didn't see a lot to
choose between them.
Out of interest what is the software that won't run on OSX?

(based on WINE) allows some
Windows programs to run without a whole VM.
