Re: Which unlimited broadband?
Peter,
Fatpipe capacity from exchange to ISP can vary, also concurrent number of
o2 customers on your exchange will obviously affect your piece of the pie.
If it's a 'cheapy' service that means lots of chavs on bittorrent etc...
downloading videos, music, games, all the high bandwith stuff. The
internet has changed so much over the last couple of years. Even simple
surfing nowadays involves loading webpages with embedded video - you can't
avoid it - and most web designers seem to think everyone's got 4mb/s
bandwidth.
Personally, I can't wait for 21CN to appear at the bottom of our road,
hopefully this time next year.
Have a look on samknows.com and check when your exchange is getting
upgraded - might cheer you up a bit (or make you more upset!!!)
Regards,
Simon

I assume you were on an exchange that is not
unbundled. Hence everyone is selling BT service,
so why is O2 any worse (or even different) from
any other reseller? Hence my question "do
different resellers have different contention
ratios? Guess they must, as the kit is the same,
so what else can vary? In which case I wonder if
O2 can beat up BT for better capacity to meet a guaranteed service?
