Re: AlertMe Energy Review - Power Monitoring on the Web

Hi Mark,

Do you what the possibilities are for integration with other HA systems?

The "smart plugs" look interesting to me since they report power
usage of
individual devices plus on / off control (presumably these also are
"two-way" in that they report their on/off status back as well),
but I'd
really want to integrate into my current HA system (xAP & xPL based)
rather
than rely on a hosted web service!

Cheers,

Martyn

Subject: [ukha_d] AlertMe Energy Review - Power Monitoring on the Web

AlertMe started life as a security company, offering their on-line wireless
alarm system. Now it's clear from the very front page of their website
that
they are focussing their future on Energy monitoring. They've employed
their Zigbee technology, already refined in their security product, to
create their latest offering - AlertMe Energy - a £49 hardware package
along
with a subscription to a monitoring service. So does it live up to the
promise and can you really save money using the system....
