OT - Camcorder PAL vs. NTSC

Hi all,
Looking at getting a video camera and have stumbled upon a cheap option for
a model I'm looking at but only draw back is that it's NTSC.
Is the only consideration that I wouldn't be able to plug it into a PAL
television and playback or is there more that I need to be aware of?
