Depends how much they want to spend but have a look at Y-Cam. Some examples

(you might need IE to see these, although latest generation cameras can be
viewed with Firefox)

I've got a couple on a holiday home, although I use geovision at my main
place. The 'black' has IR so can see in total darkness... makes the colours
a bit odd during the day but liveable with.
