Ooooooo. Thanks for the input here.

First utility - check!
So it seems that somebody at the developer has been exercising a
little forward thinking here. Wouldn't life be easier if in times
like this they communicated this down to the customer facing staff.
Certinly I consider fitting a smart meter and hooking it up to a
compatible supplier a positive selling point.
Roll on accurate monthly billing.
