RE: IR control of Kramer AV switch

Keith,

The emitters i'm using are these -
http://www.xantech.com/Infrared/Infrared/IREmitters/283M/

I've tried everything, including moving them around, pointing them in
different directions, moving them away from the Kramer and even dual
emitters to reduce the power. No luck. Unless i've missed something, there
is a component that isn't working as expected. Incidentally, i'm also using
an Opus Octopus in this installation which repeats IR and this has the same
problem, the common failing component being the Kramer.

Blasters or mini emitters ?

It could be that the IR is too strong and is swamping the IR receiver in
the
unit, try moving it further away.

Another possibility could be noise corrupting the signal. I think the
Xantech kit is wideband so may be picking up other signals as well which
could be confusing the Kramer
