I have one - although I've never used XBMC so can't compare the two.
Its played every file I've thrown at it so far, and firmware updates
appear to be quite regular. It streams HD stuff over the LAN with no
problem, and has a built in bittorrent if you fit a local hard disc.
Its connected to my Onkyo 905 via HDMI which then outputs 1080p to my
LCD or Projector.
As others have commented - can't go far wrong for £100!
