RE: DVD server and streaming video over wifi?



Been streaming full bit rate DVD video data over WiFi for ages without
any
problems ...

Make sure that you don't have too many other access points visible in your
area - if there are then you are all competing for the same available
bandwidth (pretty much - there are only three non-overlapping channels for
WiFi and when people pick random channels they can effectively interfere
with several others) ... last year over Easter weekend another 6
"bastard
spawn of Satan" BT home hubs went active close to my house and my own
throughput fell through the floor - I went to 802.11a (still 54mbits though
but at 5GHz) and that fixed everything.
