DVD server and streaming video over wifi?

Does anyone here manage to stream vobs or divx over wifi?

I have them on my NAS and SWMBO always attempts to view them on her
Mac laptop but they always stutter and stop.

Has anyone ever manages to do it? Or at the moment is techonology
restricted to viewing over a wired ethernet connection?
