LOL, I dug out an old Tecra from the garage the other day, weighs
about 3
times what my Inspiron does and I think the new one is about the same
weight
as my existing laptop.

Its all the "extra" bits that make the laptop case heavy. I was
slightly
bemused the other week when someone said they could fit more than one
change
of clothes into their laptop case.... I can even fit all the bits I use
with
my laptop into my laptop case !!!!!

Macs aren't cheap, they are definitely the upper end of the market.
