RE: Re: C-Bus Dimmer Loading ???

Indeed, I have made exactly this decision in the upcoming upgrade of
my kit=
chen lights from X10 (spit) to CBUS. Currently I have 3 sets of lights on
r=
elay modules, (mostly because they're fluorescents), but with 1 set of
main=
s GU10 halogens on a dimmer module.

When I switch over to CBUS I will fit a 4-channel relay only, thus
changing=
the halogens to be non-dimmable. I find I very rarely want to dim them any=
way, plus it means I could immediately begin to experiment with some of
the=
GU10 LED fittings that I've seen available. (anyone got any thoughts on th=
ese?)

Also do consider if you really need dimmer channels on all your lights -=20
Originally I specified dimmers for almost every light I had connected -=20
but when I thought about it I really only ever had them on or off and so=20
could use relaysm particularly table lamps.=20=20=20

I have however kept my approach outside floods on dimmers as it's kinda=20
nice they fade up as you approach and they also dim slowly as they go=20
off. I've had a lot of commenst about these from neighbours and=20
visitors - like can I get those from B&Q !

possibly more options when it comes to scenes too...
