RE: C-Bus Dimmer Loading ???

GU10's based line voltage mr16's are the work of the devil and should
be
avoided at all times possible, unless you enjoy replacing fuses and dimmers
along with the globe that has blown.

To use the 1 amp dimmers you can just separate the lamps out into groups of
less then 240 watts - that is 4 60 watt gls or 5 35 watt 12v dicrohics on
transformers normally - that's usually more then enough for one zone of
dimming, if not, use 2 channels with half on each, or get the 4 channel 2
amp one, or the universal dimmer. The newer universal ones are more
flexible with their loading distribution among channels and don't have that
thing where the supply to the unit and the supply to the dimmers has to be
the same phase.

Subject: [ukha_d] C-Bus Dimmer Loading ???

My journey into C-Bus continues...

I am just starting to look at the 8 Channel Dimmers and I understand each
channel is rated
for 1 Amp (230 Watt).

Does this mean each Channel cannot even support 3 100 Watt bulbs? Even
going
to 50 Watt
GU10s, that is still only 5 Bulbs. If true I cannot see how people use the
system

Or am I missing something?
