I had a problem with a set of LED Christmas lights glowing dimly when
the appliance module they were plugged into was switched off.
Disabling the local control didn't work, so I replaced the X10
appliance module with one of the X10^2 versions
(http://www.letsautomate.com/12167.cfm)
and it worked fine.

I suspect that these don't have the leakage current problem as they
have a button on them for local control.
