The letter I got yesterday said the deadline was now for renewals
after 19th
June so I tried to renew yesterday but as my renewal isn't due until 1st
July it insists on me taking a test.
Think I will ring the support desk tomorrow so see what I can do.

I got in just before it came into force (then they extended the time limit

bit more). I thought I'd do one of the tests anyway just for fun! But
found,
like you, it was a nightmare - logged in to do it then got the run-around
and lost my way - pretty user friendly - not!
