that is one of the easiest things to do in LinuxMCE. All you need to
setup is a new device template, define it as a Generic Serial Device,
and you have the power of the integrated Ruby interpreter to not only
send stuff, but also receive events based on received information via
RS232.

always looking for people to add additional protocols. The problem
is, it is hard to distinguish "sayers" and "doers". And
we've wasted
a lot of time on the former.
