That's a little odd. It should issue IPs to any device connected to
the
network, regardless of whether it's wired or wireless. Maybe the AP
isn't forwarding DHCP request broadcast packets. Do you have any
software available to listen to the traffic on the wired network e.g.
ethereal/wireshark, to see if it's receiving the DHCP request from the
wireless client? Or is there any logging on the router that might help
trace the problem? Are you able to access the configuration of the AP to
see if it has any filtering enabled?
