Just put a normal lamp in and accept that some of it is going into the
can
instead of the room.

There are some available here in NZ, but they are longer then a normal R80,
so protrude from any fittings, only come in crusty orange 2700 and still
have useless light output despite a reflector on them.

Looking for CFL (or other low power) alternatives for the R80
reflector lamps.

The only options seem to be a ridiculously priced CFL version, at
about =A311. The saving is very much long-term at this level!

Can anyone suggest alternatives (apart from changing the light fittings!).
