Hi Gareth,

It's probably more to do with cable length than interference. HDMI
doesn't go well over longer cable runs. At 1080i the pixel clock is
running at about 75Mhz and the data is 10bits per clock i think. The
cable capacitance limits the maximum length since it rounds off the
clock and data edges.

You could try running at a lower resolution (720i), as this will be a
slower data rate, hence a longer cable run (I think 720p and 1080i
are the same rate). Check you're using high quality cable and
connectors. Avoid patching and try to go direct. Other than that, you
need a device halfway to re-transmit the digital signal.
