Tried to order some 688s from Laskys when they had the deal on but they ran
out of stock and cancelled my order :-(
If I was sticking with IR I could use the original system remote but in
tha=
t
case I would need some kit to route IR back to my Node 0 which adds to the
cost as it needs to work from separate 4 rooms. I could get another 895 as
=
I
will probably need another by the time all of my planned toys materialise
:-)

How about keeping it in the Harmony range - one of the cheaper models?
I bought a couple of 688's at =A324.99 each from Laskys.com - bargain. Not
sure if they have them still though as they may have been an end of life
model?
