Re: Alternatives to recordable DVD media?
My experiences with a Toshiba HDD/DVD machine that sounds similar to
yours: it took quite a bit of testing media before I was able to find
DVD-R and DVD-RW brands that would work reliably. Some of the online
suppliers do 'sample packs' with a selection of types so you can find
the one that works for you. A firmware upgrade improved reliability,
but I still have to be careful what I buy. Useful hints and suggestions
can be found on avforums.
My aim is to move the DVD recordings onto computer hard drive shortly so
I'm protected from future issues with the media.
