Dean,

Have you tried Futronix commercial dimmers?
Circuits are individually fused on the board.

We've been working with an alternative lighting control system following
years of Cbus - mainly due to customers not liking the Cbus contemporary
design.

Their system comes protected with 'B's - one of my guys managed to create a
dead short which the 'B' was to slow to re-act and it blew the Triac.

The good thing with this system is that the triacs are all engineer
replacable and my guy's now carry a few spares in case of emergency :)

Having protected all our CBus installs with 'B's for years - I now wonder
if
we have just been lucky that we havent lost any triacs in them....

I might have been mistaken then - I remember fitting a different type of
MCB
in my workshop to protect woodworking equipment. Maybe it was type D?
