Hi,

You should configure the controller in 2 wire mode. I connected the
yellow to "+" and the blue to "-". Worked for me -
other way didn't,
but nor did it blow anything up, which was nice.

Don't know if you'll need it, but because I used a cheap controller
that didn't isolate the grounds, I also put a high value resistor
(~2k) to connect the ground of the converter to the -ve (0V) supply
from the UH1 - just to bleed out any differences in potential. FYI My
cheap controller also needed some "power" from the DTR line
before
sending. It also needed RTS on for sending and off for receiving. A
scope helped massively to figure this out.

The checksum is just one byte (add up all bytes sent and mod (%) 256).
