This is easier than you think. I had to do this with my Acer laptop too.



Can't recall the files I used, but I did a search on Google for it. Free
software that will build a custom install CD with the SATA drivers
included.



If I find the info I will let you know.

I'm now thinking the only option that's going to work is to build a
customized XP install CD with the SATA drivers slipstreamed in... - but
even
this is worth the effort to get rid of this stinking pile of rat-puke that
is Vista...
