The problem with an amplified version is it turns off the budding
audiophiles who don't like coponents distroting the sound quality.
Simple solution is to install active speakers.

Not sure if anyone has picked up on the following two items in the
tech sheet of the controller:
- 3-axis accelerometer tilt sensor

I don't believe the software/firmware currently makes use of this
feature but it is there for future development. I can see Wii style
control in the near future.

The controller also has a DAC and Headphone socket so could be used as
a portable device. Again feature is currently inactive.
