Re: PC Construction: Pentium 4

Hiya,

Thanks for all the messages.

Now I'm going to ask a very silly question now so please be kind as this is
the first time I've built a PC from scratch!!

How do I know if the motherboard has a built in speaker? There is a
headphone socket on the front of the motherboard (next to microphone and 2
USB ports) and a line in and line out on the reverse (with another 2 USB
ports, RJ45 socket, Serial A and Serial B and mouse / keyboard connectors).

Within the motherboard itself there is a 2 pin connector saying 'speaker'.

Unfortunately I can't find the motherboard manual (as I don't have the make
- it only says Compaq 2001 Processor Board, 219 Rev OH S28 on the board
itself).

Obviously I'm going to take the aerial in to the PVR-350. Plan is to
potentially run Linux and then install MythTV connecting it to XBMC (as the
front end) and then playing from there.

Am seeing this as a long-term job but just making sure I've got all the
correct bits to start with!
