Re: Danfoss Launch Z-Wave Radiator Thermostat
I had a rummage around the specs a while back and believe that from
Z-Wave the valve only offers a toggle between setpoint and setback
operation - and the setback is fixed at 3 degrees below the setpoint.
This was a bit of a dissapoinment. Having three levels ie
setpoint/setback/frost and also a defineable setback offset would have
been much more useful, 3 degrees doesn't seem enough to me. The ability
to actually set a setpoint and read the current temp level via Z-Wave
would have mase this a great product . Not exactly inconspicous
looking either .. but were getting there... slowly :-)
Also, be careful ..as some of the Danfoss Z-Wave valves are
interoperable with other Z-Wave devices and some are useable only in a
proprietory Danfoss system . .. IIRC this valve however is the
compatible one. Not sure if the extra items that Mark refers to are
within the proprietory system.
