RE: Common 12V power supply
If you have a handy PC in that location then why not just take a feed
from a
12v rail of the PC PSU? I used to do that with the 12v and 5v rails from a
hard disc Molex connector to power stuff such as HomeVision and the
expansion card for it etc.
