Please don't take this as rubbing your face in it - I learned the
hardway.
I've never trusted WHS, especially given the number of concerns
raised on Wegotserved.
If anything manipulates your data so that you don't know where it
resides, then you need to question how recoverable it will be. This
is even more so if you experience disk failure and need to pay for a
service to recover the data.
If purchasing Server 2008 implies a further cost, then try using
Shared Drives without the WHS interface.
