OK, so I have a wireless lan already. It works fine, but doesn't cover
the whole area needed. What's the best way to cover the whole house
(upstairs/downstairs), garage, front and back garden?

Wire up more CAT5 and deploy more access points? Well yes.

But

1) Have them all the same SSID and on the same channel with the same
password?

2) Have them all the same SSID and on different channels with the same
password?

3) Have them all on different SSIDs, and different channels with
different passwords?

To complicate things slightly, we have a lot of guests, so not having
to give them 5 SSIDs/passwords would be a bonus.

Don't multiple WAPs on the same channel clash?
Is having them all the same SSID bad?

Will WDS (Wireless Distribution System/Service) help?
Or will it just half the throughput?

Aargh,
Lee
