Brilliant to hear you're starting it up again. I've been looking
around the Mi Casa Verde wiki and it appears that they're going to be
opening their SVN server up to the world shortly, so you might be able
to just hook into their own drivers.
The Vera router is based on OpenWRT, so it's all a pretty open system.
