Our *total* electricity consumption (as per our electric meter & bills)
was
5,700kWh for the past 12 months. That equates to an average of 650W
(0.650kW) per hour. I have set myself a target to try and get this total
down to 5,200 for this year. I have multiple PCs/PVRs/Laptops/TVs etc as
you
would expect in a UKHA household :)
What are you running that can be using so much in 'idle' mode? PCs seem to
be 50-100W each, but most other devices in 'standby' would be using 1-2W,
plus of course freezer/fridge? Are you sure you are accurately measuring
your consumption? Could you have a faulty device?
