Fw: Remote access my X10

What about creating some COM commands to fire to the CM12 ?
Is the protocol for the CM12 documented so you can fire off a command down
the serial port ? No need for Homeseer (which I use myself for logging).
Any basic web server could then be used to init those commands.
Thanks Nigel but it appears a bit heavy weight for what I'm looking for.

Darren,
I would suggest a play with Homeseer (www.homeseer.com
<http://www.homeseer
<http://www.homeseer.com/> .com/>
) this will provide
you with a web interface
and can connect easily to X10 and other types of control equipment.
I believe they have a 30 day trial that can be downloaded, its MS
Windows based. I have been using it for years and believe it is well
worth the steep learning curve... (and cost?)
HTH
Nigel

Subject: [ukha_d] Remote access my X10
Hi all,
I'd like to be able to control my X10 DIN rail dimmers from my Nokia
N95 via wi-fi. Does anyone know what's required. In addition I intend
to buy a couple of IP cameras and would like to be able to view these
as well from my N95. Any advice really appreciated.
TIA
Darren
