one, whose name escapes me ...

'just don't see the sense of it without 3G - maybe I should try
it ? Mind-you, my 3G connection via the 'E61 & T-Mobile ain't so
hot at the moment ... speed-tests return a bit under 400K, which is
OK, but download times are mostly awful, because transfers seem to
happen only in short & very irregular bursts ... maybe it's my end,
rather than theirs, but haven't found anything yet ...
>Fry ...
'thought his notes on Palm were interesting ... I was a fan, but they
seemed to go off the rails with the Treo, with a very poor keyboard &
the switch to WM, no 3G, and so-on ... 'was very perplexing, but
seems it wasn't only me & they may be about to do / doing something
about it - could be too-late, though !
also his notes on Symbian ... must say, unlike him, I quite like my
Nokia E61, itself, 'though having no touch-screen is bizarre, but I
agree with him the OS is something else ... it's very immature, it
seems to me, and yet it's been around for ages & Nokia are relying on
it ... T-Mobile's adjustment were very clumsy, too ... the browser &
'mail application had some very good reviews, but I have to wonder,
now I'm using them myself, what they were comparing them with -
goodness knows what bad must have been like (maybe they'd Access
NetFront, as on on SWMBO's Samsung 'Z560 - a very good 'phone &
camera-'phone, btw, surprisingly good - which we find is almost
completely useless for browsing & e-mail & connecting her laptop
...
I say almost, because 'have found it's sort-of OK for BBC News,
including their two-minute news videos) ...
>'Windows ...
well, the pages (of 'Inside Out, which is published by MS, of course)
were numbered in traditional order, rather than being all over the
place, the cross-references & index actually worked, and there were
some hints in boxes that were even helpful - all a big surprise,
didn't know they could do it ... sorry, I jest !
Sorry, rambling ...
