Yeah, a router will work, as it'll hide the local hosts behind it's
(ISP allocated) DHCP IP.
And yes, a CM is in simple terms just a media bridge, at layer 2.
However, our CMs (not STBs) with business service support up to 5 CPE
MACs, Xbox service supports 2, and 'normal' service one.

[Errr, you can if you put a linux/bsd firewall in the way]
But the OP wanted two PCs with internet access, not aggregated
bandwidth, so two service plans would obviously give this.
