Hi
I bought the synology cs 407 and its very good. Installed slimserver and it
seems no slower at copying files than my linkstation nas (though i am not
gigabit lan). The web functionality is also very good.

Inftrant ReadyNAS+ - h/w RAID XOR engine, and the beta supports > 2Tb
partitions. You can expand arrays online too.

[ukha_d] NAS recommendation needed

All,
I'm sure a lot of you have been the process of deciding on which NAS to
buy and I need to tap into that knowledge for some advice.
I'm after some networked storage and currently need about 500Gb, which I
would also like backed up, hopefully on the same device. So I think a
2Tb device should do for a while but to be on the safe side it should be
able to accept USB drives to expand capacity.
I've been looking at the terastation pro II for GBP613 delivered due to
price and capacity.
Before I bite the bullet, does anyone have any recommendations for this
device or another?
Thanks in advance,
Pedro
