RE: Schneider Electric leads by example and slashes energy
costs
Did you actually bother to *READ* my reply or what?
I quote...
"for office use C-Bus may well *NOT* be the best solution and
Schneider have
several energy saving tools in their bag."
...and...
"Products such as Lubio can affect far greater savings for large scale
systems where the actual control functionality required is quite
simple."
The control functionality required at Wembley was hugely complex and
involves control down to a fine level of granularity (roughly 4000
individual areas of control IIRC) within the building from a central
location (with other functionality on top of that such as metering and
billing for resources consumed by individual kiosks etc.)...
The point is to pick the appropriate technology for the application and for
most general office type installations where the working day is quite
structured and the entire building tends to be occupied for a defined set
of
hours and then quickly vacated the appropriate energy saving solutions are
not necessarily the same as you would use for your home. Remember that
C-Bus
is not a product designed to save energy - it is a control system that can
be used to produce energy savings but that is *NOT* the same.
