I've put cabling in for reed switches on doors and windows internal and
external.  For internal door I mounted nr the hinge so ajar is
"closed"
but for external I've mounted on the opposite side to the hinge, so
ajar is "open".  Won't report if the door is locked or not, but
it is a
start!
