Does anyone actually make a DVB-S solution that will pull down the FTA
programming off Sky?

I'm trying to look at the client / server models that are being supported
by MythTV and MediaPortal at the moment (but I have two problems ...
Firstly I need to clear off some hardware to use for 'research' purposes
and secondly I don't have much room to play with as I'm currently 'between
residences').

Thing is, I'd like to be able to go for a smaller and quieter 'playback'
device I the rooms and a central 'recorder' which can be set from anywhere
in the house that just gets on and does its job...

Phil

Long time TiVo user though for the last 10 months we have used SKY HD
which is OK but expensive and generally a compromise when compared to
other solutions.

DVB-S will be required, as no DVB-T here . . . . FireDTV seems to
make this possible that said we very really watch encrypted channels

Before embarking on a divorce, which I can ill afford, with the
missing programs and random reboots I would love the received wisdom
of the group.
