Vista MCE / MyTH recommendations please to replace Sky HD

Long time TiVo user though for the last 10 months we have used SKY HD
which is OK but expensive and generally a compromise when compared to
other solutions.

DVB-S will be required, as no DVB-T here  . . . .    FireDTV seems to
make this possible that said we very really watch encrypted channels

Before embarking on a divorce, which I can ill afford, with the
missing programs and random reboots I would love the received wisdom
of the group.
