If you do add opto isolation or relays then the 10 year battery life
may
well be compromised. It really depands how much current might be drawn
by anything attached to the link wires whilst the sensors were in the
non alarm conditon.  Best would be to have some very high impedence
voltage sensing input into any HA stuff.
