Blimey Chris, you did some serious research :-)



Not wanting to nitpick but Helvar is actually UK designed and built
although
owned by a finish company and Dynalite is Australian.

PS: we also looked seriously at Nikobus (Belgian, interesting, and
AV, too), Dupline (Italian, coming of the mining industry), and Nice
(also Italian, quite limited, but quite interesting), Hevlar
(Finnish, lighting, mainly), Dynalight (English, also lighting
starting-point), Honeywell Hometronics (very useable), and several
others, mostly niche / new starters ...

fascinating !!
