Hi Stuart,

You don't say whether you want to link PCs together, or go via access
points/routers.
If its just PCs, have a look at this page:
http://www.usbwifi.orcon.net.nz/

Mostly homebrew, and some impressive distances travelled with USB
adaptors and cheap dishes :-)

If its connecting routers your after, something like the pringles can
antenna "cantenna" might do the job.

and/or
http://www.wallawalla.edu/frohro/Airport/Primestar/Primestar.html


Is this a "commercial" project, or a home one?
