Yes we are a windows household, I'd like to build a Linux box, its been
about 10 years or so since I last used Unix but its just not on the
priority list right now.

I ran the beta for a while. I didn't use the remote control stuff (from
the
WAN) but it worked well as a NAS and (for me) the best bit was the
intelligent automated nightly backups. If you are a windows household
I'd
say go for it. I'd look for a machine that uses as little power as
possible
too.
