Mal,

How do you go about ripping your DVD's to HDD? I am well acquainted
with ripping CDs for Music and use FLAC for lossless quality. But
completely new to ripping DVD's. What software do you use? What format
do you rip to? Do you use compression? As this is OT maybe you could
start a new thread?

In the instance of streaming DVD's then RAID 5 is of benefit as a RAID
5 is good for read operations and still gives you some parity.
