Stuart,

I was getting at the fact that centi is only really used with metres,=20
and to a lesser extent litres. The reason being is that it is a non-
preffered standard:

The prefix hecto- to centi- are not 'preferred prefix' but referred=20
to as 'other prefix' by SI, though centi- is in common use as in=20
cubic centimetre or cc.
Le Syst=E8me International d'Unit=E9s (SI) name the prefix giga and
nano,=20
milliard and milliardth respectivly. The wording shown here was=20
approved by the General Conference on Weights and Measures and has=20
been adopted in practice.

Basically I was being very pedantic ;o)
