RE: [OT] Heated mirrors
Mine were also from Screwfix. The mirrors were from Ikea, and they're
in
kind of an oak picture frame, so there's a good 20mm void behind them to
hide the wiring. As mentioned below, they use more power than necessary,
especially if you have kids that leave the lights on the whole time (ours
is
wired to the light circuit). The mirror is noticeably warm when it's been
on for a while, so turning it down to 30w would probably have the same
effect.

I got mine from Screwfix. It was pretty straight forward to fit. Just
removed the mirror, stuck the self adhesive element to the back and connect
the power from the lights above the mirror. The only issue I had was that
although in the blurb it says it was 0.7mm thick, the mains connection was
considerably thicker so I had to chisel out a small square of the mirrors
backing board to allow it to sit fully flush.
It does work a treat though. I have noticed it only needs to be on for a
few minutes to do its stuff though so I'm on the looking for some kind of
timer to turn it off after a set period of time. I'm just not sure that
electricity wise its worth it. It's only rated at 60w or so.

Anyone installed one of these in their bathrooms?
Stops the mirror misting up.

Any good? Where did you get yours from?
Has anyone wired it up to their light switch? So it comes on when you turn
on the light?
